A Land Defense System refers to a comprehensive suite of technologies and equipment deployed on the ground to safeguard military personnel, infrastructure, and strategic assets. These systems integrate air defense, surveillance, command and control, and counter-threat capabilities to detect, track, and neutralize aerial, ground, and asymmetric threats such as drones, missiles, rockets, and enemy vehicles in land-based operations.

They are often mounted on mobile platforms like armored vehicles or set up as fixed installations. Examples include short-range air defense (SHORAD) systems such as NASAMS, Iron Dome, or Skyranger, which provide layered protection against UAVs, artillery, and precision-guided munitions.
