The ZDK-03 AWACS Aircraft is a medium-sized early warning command aircraft jointly developed by AVIC Shaanxi Aircraft Industry (Group) Co., Ltd. and China Electronics Technology Group Corporation and exported to Pakistan. In order to meet the early warning and command needs of JF-17 fighter jets and J-10 fighter jets imported from China in the future, the Pakistan Air Force purchased ZDK-03 early warning aircraft from China. The ZDK-03 early warning aircraft is independently manufactured by China. It is a new variant of the Shaanxi Yun-8 early warning aircraft family customized for Pakistan.It uses four turboprop engines and has a longer range than the Swedish Saab AWACS.
