Type 056 Corvette (English: Type 056 Corvette) NATO code name: Jiangdao Class Corvette (Jiangdao Class Corvette) is a new generation of multi-purpose light frigate launched by the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy in 2012.
The ship of this class adopts the deep V and long bridge ship shape, which has good seaworthiness and can provide larger hull space. Stealth design is adopted, the ship floats outward, and the superstructure is inclined inward, forming a broken line running through the front and rear of the hull. The equipment on the ship surface, such as small boats and torpedo tubes, are all shielded, and the radar stealth effect is good. There is a helicopter deck at the stern of the ship, which has the ability to operate helicopters, but there is no hangar.
The Type 056 built by the Chinese Navy is mainly used for offshore defense, undertakes daily patrol tasks, and provides support and guarantee for relevant maritime law enforcement agencies to replace the previous ship with a long age, low tactical and technical indicators, outdated weapons and equipment, and personnel work and living environment. The Type 053H frigate series and the Type 037 submarine hunting submarine series are poor and difficult to adapt to the combat missions of the new era.
