The LD-3000 is a Ground-Based Close-In Weapon System (CIWS), analogous to naval CIWS, designed for terminal defense of ground assets. It uses a rapid-fire rotary cannon to engage incoming anti-radiation and cruise missiles, bombs, and other precision-guided munitions at very short ranges, serving as the last line of defense for fixed strategic sites.
