The Heavy Assault Bridge is mainly used for supporting tanks and self-propelled guns and heavy weapons to cross anti-tank ditches, craters, seawalls, steep slopes, channels and ditches as well as streams, and all artificial or natural obstacles so as to accompany armored and mechanized troops to maneuvering. The system consists of armored chassis, bridge-span unit, erection equipment, electrohydraulic system, control system as well as communication, location and navigation system.
