FK-3 (HQ-22) Air Defense Missile System

The FK-3 (export version of HQ-22) is a medium-to-long-range SAM system offering a cost-effective alternative to the high-end HQ-9. It is designed to engage multiple targets simultaneously, including fixed-wing aircraft and cruise missiles, providing robust area defense for strategic points with improved resistance to electronic countermeasures.

The FK-3 air defense missile system is a foreign trade version of the medium and long-range air defense missile developed on the basis of China’s “HQ-22” air defense missile. The maximum range of the missile is 100 kilometers, and it is matched with the H200 digital phased array radar. Not only has a long detection distance and strong anti-interference ability, but also has the ability to detect invisible targets, which can be used to deal with fixed-wing aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, and tactical cruise missiles flying in the atmosphere. Its comprehensive combat capability is comparable to that of the Western “Patriot 2” air defense missile system.
